Junior School take part in annual Readon event

This week our junior school classes are involved in the annual Readon event.

Their homework all week is to read as many books as they can: books that they have chosen or have been recommended by classmates in preparation for the event. Over the last few years, Ballymena Academy has raised over £50,000 for The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children through Readon. It is always well supported by pupils and parents so we hope to keep up our superb fundraising efforts this year!

Sponsor money is due the week beginning 3rd February. Here are pupils from 9A totally absorbed in their books!

Our motto for this week is ‘The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.’ – Dr. Seuss
