Junior CU pupils raised £136 at their Christmas party in December. This money was used to purchase gifts from the charity Christian Aid, which will help people in developing countries. Each gift provides money which goes towards specific programmes or projects where help is most needed.

Year 10 pupils Daniel Gribben, Zara Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Jonathan Grimsley and Katie Gamble presented Mr Black with the following gifts which were chosen by Junior CU pupils for the school’s Senior Leadership Team:

For Mr Black – 5 mosquito nets & a safe place to shelter
For Mr Ross – clean water & a turkey
For Mrs Connor – antibiotics for a clinic & a tailor-made course
For Mr McLeister – some chickens & a safe place to sleep

Huge thanks go to Junior CU pupils for raising money which will make such an important difference to the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
