Year 10 pupils participate in the ‘Activate Your Curiosity’ competition.
Congratulations to a number of our Year 10 pupils who participated in the ‘Activate your curiosity’ competition hosted by Mid and East Antrim, in conjunction with leading scientist, Professor Brian Cox. Pupils were tasked to design and present an innovative idea aimed at improving our lives in the future.

A special mention must also go to Monya Ahmed, Zoe Love, Amy Baird, Lydia Gregg and Rachel Steele who all won highly commended awards and to Joshua McDowell the joint winner of the KS3 category. Joshua’s design idea will be on display at “The Gallery of First Attempts Exhibition” during the Science School event, hosted by Prof Brian Cox, at The Braid Museum in November.

Another special mention must go to Alex Suitter, who, alongside Rachel Steele and
Matthew McCullough, attended the Brian Cox virtual summer school. Alex’s question was selected as one of the best and posed to Brian Cox during the virtual summer school presentation.
