Construction introduces you to the practical and technical aspects of the built environment. You’ll learn about sustainable construction, CAD design, health and safety, and complete hands-on projects like woodwork. This subject develops planning, measurement and design skills. Assessment includes practical work and written exams.
A Level
The Single Award in Construction gives you practical and theoretical knowledge of the built environment. You’ll learn about health and safety, sustainable materials, environmental design, and apply scientific and mathematical principles to real construction scenarios.
The Double Award extends your experience with in-depth study of measurement, CAD design, housing, environmental impact, and project management. Over two years, you’ll complete coursework, external assessments and hands-on investigations, preparing you for a wide range of construction-related pathways.
