Pharmacists In Schools’ Programme

Tuesday, 16th May, saw the return of 'Pharmacists in Schools'. This is a programme which sees staff and students from the Queen's University Belfast School of Pharmacy, visit school to allow junior pupils to be given the opportunity to be pharmacists for the day.

The programme also encourages them to consider studying science-based career options, as well as increasing their awareness of the role of the pharmacist in the community and in health promotion activities. This has become an annual visit from the School of Pharmacy and was attended by 29 pupils from Years 8 – 10, who thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

Report and photographs thanks to Mrs. Kerr who organised the event for Science Club.
