(1)        Excludes pupils with statements of special educational needs.

(2)        From 2007/08, ‘A’ level figures for Northern Ireland include those pupils who achieved Vocational             Certificate of   Education passes at Grades A - C.  Also included in these figures are pupils  who achieved   AS level passes at Grades A - C and who did not sit the A2 modules of these subjects.  In this respect two AS   levels are equivalent to one ‘A’ level.

Michael Walker          Joint 2^nd place in English Literature

Eight pupils each obtained four A* grades - Sheenagh Aiken, Kathryn Hamilton, David Headden, Sarah Houston, Charlotte Kane, Rachel Mairs, Jenna McCammon and Lois Wilson.

Nine pupils each obtained a combination of four A*/A grades - Naomi Bell, Kathryn Gilmore, Adam Henry, Stephen Houston, Kerri McIlroy, David Morrow, Peter Neilly,  Sreelata Periketi and Emma Wray.

A further 24 pupils obtained three A*/A grades, or more –  Steven Barrow, Christina Bashford, Adam Buick, Sara Calderwood, Judith Coleman, Cara-Jan Craig, Emma Davison, Jenny Dickson, Maeve Doyle, Lucinda Ellis, Rachael Graham, Glenn Hamilton, Katherine Hunter, Joel Mann, Catherine A. Mark, Abigail McCready, Emma McKeown, Rachel Montgomery, Jill Patterson, Desmond Scott, Alexander Simpson, Michael Walker, David Wallace and Peter Wallace.
